At Momentous Football academy we have a designed a detailed football development syllabus which runs in six week cycles with a conditioned games week to conclude the phase at the end.
The games week is to recap on previous topics, themes and challenges set in the previous six weeks. The six week cycle is then repeated to cement and embed all of the key principles of play. We also use a common language between player and coach using terminology for better understanding.
Momentous Football academy frame sessions to include the 6 R’s for technical development each session, this includes, Receiving, Reacting, Regaining, Retrieving, Responding and retaining which is linked to our scheme of work in which we deliver in possession principles of play in week one, out of possession in week two then transition in week three. The principles of play are then repeated.
Within our football six week phase of coaching we aim to develop all players through a holistic approach focusing on physical, and psychological elements.
We incorporate one or our 6 C’s for mindset each week. Concentration, Communication, Commitment, Confidence, Cohesive and Competitive as key factors within the sessions.
Sessions are scaffolded to meet the needs of all individuals learning styles though using a variety of visual aids, teaching methods and coaching styles.
